The Beverage Station

Hi All! It's been awhile since I've "blogged" about a project, but had to share this one. I had this door in my shop, staring at me...Make me something, make me something.. So, with my ever approaching sister trip, which means they come to my house because I live by the beach, due to commence on June 6th, I needed a cocktail spot. This old door and headboard fit the bill nicely.
I attached the headboard as the legs and then added a couple of shelves.
Painted her all out in a chalky type paint..then a little chalk board for fun messages.
Moved her to the patio, and Viola! A fun little "beverage station" to mix up after the beach cocktails. I just love how she turned out. Don't you?
Check back often for more fun projects! Naomi Grace

Blog for blogging sake!

This post is going to be a little experiment, as I don't really have a plan for this one. No content "idea". Lets just wing it today. Talk from the head, or heart..

You see this kid here? She will be 13 in a couple months. I am very proud of my daughter. She plays the violin, is quite the artist, and is very active in school. I am also a bit apprehensive as the teenage years approach, but am full of hope that the lessons she has learned from us as she got to this point in her life will serve her well, and she will be wise...ok, here I really want to put a LOL. But I won't.

I mean really, we're talkin about this kid now. Such a character. I love her to pieces. Tween attitude and all. Miss is also a big sister to Little Miss. She's one year and one week behind Miss.

We won't tell Miss I used this picture, she had a boo boo on her eye :( . Such a little caregiver to her Little Sis. Although at this age Little Miss doesn't always see it as that, it's more like " MOM, she's bossing me again."

So that's the sisters. They are my loves and my babies. I will be 50 this summer and as a older parent I seem to be more patient, able to enjoy their silliness. So as we venture off towards teenage antics I just want to say, I hope I survive.

2014 Ready, Set, GO!

Lots of changes for Pieces of Grace taking place and I'm excited. This endevor is definately in it's infancy and I knew things would change, its inevitable as you see what's working and whats not. As I work to find a good venue for my restyles I hope you'll follow along with me on the blog, G+, pinterest, and yes, Facebook. Bare with me on my learning curve with social media. I'm a painter, a junker, and a Mom to children and animals of all sorts. Here are a few things that I've actually got accomplished since my last blog.

First there was Christmas!

Happy, Happy..
Then off to Rockport to the In-Laws, I know some who would not be in favor of going to the In-Laws on Christmas day, but I got lucky, I Love my Momma-in law.

She's a keeper.
After 3 days of merriment we headed back home to give our Niece a send off as she starts her new adventure in Nashville! Good luck, Chelskee!

I have also been running around and picking, for us junkers you know what I mean. For others, it means collecting junk , err treasures.

I did finally get the singer sewing machine finished and delivered!

And lastly, Frankies little chest of drawers. There will be a little blog about this one later.

So long for now and make sure you follow on Google +, and Facebook.
